Organoids are three-dimensional (3D) miniature structures cultured using human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) or adult stem cells (AdSCs). Compared with traditional 2D cell culture, organoids can closelymimic the cellular heterogeneity, structure, and function of the original organ and are widely used in drug development, precision medicine, and regenerative medicine [1].
Different types of organoids require the addition of various components and ratios of growth factors for targeted induction, such as epidermal growth factor (EGF), Noggin, and R-spondin-1, which are then encapsulate into basement membrane matrix for organoid differentiation and expansion [2].
